Kate Capato Peace Restored OrganizingMy Story

Our lives are so fast-paced! I think one of the most characteristic words of our society is: BUSY. It seems everyone I encounter has a full and overflowing plate, whether it be family needs, work obligations, or any assortment of other commitments. Time is stretched and consequently, stress levels can run high. Under these conditions, it is easy for things to get out of order and misplaced. (Or perhaps they were never quite in order, to begin with.)

I grew up in a home where there was “a place for everything and everything in its place”…that is, when I wasn’t in the middle of one of my many projects. My poor mother! I have always been creative and love to work with my hands. But while I was good at making messes, I also enjoyed figuring out systems–how to put things in order more efficiently.

I married an officer in the Marine Corps and 8 moves in 7 years cured me of my habit of saving things “for sentimental reasons.” I learned to prioritize what was most important. Well that, plus I didn’t want to box it up again for the next move.

I raised four children and lived family life to the full! I taught my children the delights of creative projects—hence an ongoing organizing challenge. I understand the hectic pace and struggle to keep up with crazy schedules. A messy room can be the sign of wonderful family times…it can also be the result of not having time, energy or confidence to get things in order.

I honestly never thought of myself as an organized person. But as friends asked me to help them to declutter their homes, I became energized at the thought of clearing out a garage or tidying up a pantry—it was a puzzle to solve!

I thrive on assisting busy women to find a greater peace within their homes as an order is restored. Whether you are a mom of an active household, a professional woman with a fast-paced schedule, a grandmother on the verge of downsizing, or anywhere in between, it is a privilege for me to help you regain order so you can focus on the things that really matter!
